May 11 & 12, 2013 - The Utica Antiques Market

At Detroit Metro Mashup we love history and history includes antiques. So covering an antique event is a good fit for us. The Utica Antiques Market happens three times a year, typically in May, July, and September (see their website for dates and more information at http://www.uticaantiques.com). The Utica Antiques Market is conveniently located off Van Dyke freeway and 21 mile road.

No matter what you collect there will be something at this show for you. Lots of glass, furniture, vintage jewelry, clothing, old tools, miscellaneous hardware, and plenty of things that will have you saying, "What was that used for?” This years show was one of the busiest ones that we can remember. There were lots of vendors and crowds of customers, even with the rather cool temperatures and threats of rain.

Even if you're not a collector you should go and enjoy looking at relics from our past and pieces of our local Detroit area history; plus its just nice to get outside. It costs $5 each to get in and parking is free. Handicap parking is also available.
